ICS 100 Introduction to the Incident Command System (Virtual) - presented by MEMA and Maine VOAD | October 9 & 16, 2025
This 6-hour 2-part foundation-level course is a virtual interactive course that introduces the Incident Command System (ICS) and provides the foundation for higher-level ICS training. This course describes the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of the ICS. It also explains the relationship between ICS and the National Incident Management System.

ICS 200 Incident Command System for Initial Response (Virtual) - presented by MEMA and Maine VOAD | November 6 & 13, 2025
This 6-hour 2-part course is a virtual interactive course that is designed to enable personnel to operate efficiently during an incident or event within the ICS. ICS-200 provides training and resources for personnel who are likely to assume a supervisory position within the Incident Command System (ICS).

MEMA Mass Care Disaster/Emergency Sheltering Course (Virtual) | Multiple Course Dates Available October - December 2025
For Local, County and Tribal Emergency Management, Municipal Agencies, and Community Organizations. The course has been created to provide staff and volunteers with information on best practices for preparing, setting up, and managing Cooling and Warming Centers and Disaster/Emergency Congregate Shelters. The course will consist of a segment dedicated to best practices on Cooling and Warming Center Operations.

FREE Ammonia Safety & Emergency Response Training (ASERT) | DEP Office - Bangor | August 1 or August 2, 2025 (8-Hour Class)
Prepare to effectively manage ammonia incidents from start to finish. This session begins with an overview of anhydrous ammonia properties, transportation, containers, release types, troubleshooting, and response strategies.

We will cover control and containment tactics from both offensive and defensive perspectives, discussing key lessons learned through real-life case studies of stationary facilities and transportation incidents, along with live release training footage.

After a safety briefing and drill preparation, the second half of the day will focus on hands-on live release training in the field, primarily emphasizing tarp and cover operations for control and containment of anhydrous ammonia. Limited space - 20 max per session - first come first serve!
