Does my facility need to report? Info & Regs
State and Federal law requires certain facilities in Maine who have, use or store hazardous materials, above established thresholds, to annually register and report their chemical or compound holdings. This is done routinely through a Tier 2 filing which must be submitted annually prior to March 1st for the prior year. The 2024 Tier 2 reports were due by March 1, 2025.
The "EPCRA Reporting Guide - Is My Facility Required to Report?" document below is intended to assist you with the registration and reporting process. Still confused? Please contact the the Androscoggin County EMA office and we'll be glad to walk you through the process. The EMA office is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday except on holidays or other office closings.
